Höegh Autoliners to equip entire fleet with navigation resilience technology

Höegh Autoliners has signed a five-year agreement with Norwegian technology company SGM Technology to strengthen navigation resilience across its fleet. The agreement covers the company’s current fleet of 38 vessels , as well as newbuildings entering service during the contract period. SGM Technology will provide its PntGuard system, which is designed to support vessel positioning when GPS signals are disrupted. Höegh Autoliners targets GPS interference risks GPS jamming and spoofing have become growing concerns on major shipping routes. PntGuard provides vessels with an independent positioning source when GPS signals are affected.

Maersk announces Poland inland transportation rate adjustment

Maersk will adjust its inland transportation tariffs in Poland from 1 October 2026, citing rising operational, regulatory and infrastructure costs. The revised rates will apply to direct trucking and intermodal rail deliveries routed through German ports. They will also cover direct trucking deliveries through the Port of Gdansk. Services covered by the adjustment For cargo routed through German ports, the adjustment will apply to: Direct trucking deliveries Intermodal rail deliveries For cargo routed through the Port of Gdansk, it will apply to: Direct trucking deliveries Maersk will include the updated rates in relevant quotations, tariffs and contractual agreements according to existing commercial terms. The carrier will apply the revised rates using the price calculation date logic associated with ocean bookings.

FitzMark’s latest broker acquisition adds trade show logistics capabilities

Freight broker FitzMark announced it has acquired United Transportation Services, a broker specializing in trade show logistics. Founded in 1998, Aurora, Colorado-based UTS is a full-service 3PL focused on the retail and hospitality industries. It provides dry van, refrigerated, flatbed and specialty truckload transportation as well as packaging, warehousing and white-glove delivery services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal closed on Tuesday.
