Northeast port breaks ground on $3.2 million in new upgrades

The Maine Port Authority and MaineDOT are funding a $3. 2 million project to modernize the International Marine Terminal’s container yard, storage, and access systems. Construction is underway at the International Marine Terminal at the Port of Portland in Maine. The state Department of Transportation said that the Maine Port Authority is advancing a $3. 2-million Maritime Administration (Marad) Port Infrastructure Development Program project supported by matching funds by MaineDOT to modernize Portland’s container yard, refrigerated-container storage, and terminal access systems.
