Maersk revises terminal handling charges across Latin America and Caribbean

Maersk will revise its origin and destination terminal handling charges across several Latin American and Caribbean markets. The new Origin Handling Charge and Destination Handling Charge levels will take effect on 15 October 2026 and remain valid until further notice. The changes cover Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Uruguay. Maersk attributed the revisions to higher port-related and operational costs. Revised terminal handling charges The following rates apply per container and are quoted in US dollars.

Maersk consolidates TA3 Rotterdam calls at APM Maasvlakte II

Maersk will consolidate the import and export Rotterdam calls of its TA3 service into a single call at APM Terminals Maasvlakte II. The change takes effect immediately and aims to improve operational efficiency in Rotterdam. Maersk said the remaining TA3 service rotation will remain unchanged. First vessels under revised arrangement The first vessel to call at and depart from APM Terminals Maasvlakte II under the new arrangement will be Maersk Fredericia, operating voyages 638W and 635E. Vessel HH voyage BH voyage Rotterdam arrival Rotterdam departure Maersk Fredericia 638W 635E 21 September 23 September SFL Hawaii 639W 636E 28 September 29 September Combining both cargo flows into one terminal call could simplify cargo handling and reduce the operational complexity associated with separate import and export calls in Rotterdam.
