Maersk revises terminal handling charges across Latin America and Caribbean

Maersk will revise its origin and destination terminal handling charges across several Latin American and Caribbean markets. The new Origin Handling Charge and Destination Handling Charge levels will take effect on 15 October 2026 and remain valid until further notice. The changes cover Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Uruguay. Maersk attributed the revisions to higher port-related and operational costs. Revised terminal handling charges The following rates apply per container and are quoted in US dollars.
