RSGT sets new productivity benchmark at Patenga Container Terminal

RSGT Bangladesh has recorded a new productivity benchmark at the Patenga Container Terminal in Chattogram. The terminal handled up to 58 container moves, or 82 TEUs, per hour while serving CMA CGM vessel MV Wanen . The operation involved 900 container moves, representing 1,350 TEUs, according to RSGT Bangladesh. First gearless vessel handled with new STS cranes The operation marked the terminal’s first handling of a gearless vessel using its newly commissioned ship-to-shore (STS) cranes. Unlike geared vessels, gearless ships rely on shore-based cranes for loading and unloading containers.
