Rhenus advances 150,000 TEU terminal project at Port of Aktau

Rhenus Group is moving forward with plans to develop a trimodal container terminal at the Port of Aktau in Kazakhstan, strengthening its logistics network along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The logistics company and Aktau International Sea Trade Port have signed an agreement defining the next stages of the project. Rhenus is also working with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), the country’s national railway company, on capacity development along the corridor. New capacity at Aktau The planned terminal will connect maritime, rail and road transport on a site covering at least 30 hectares. Under the current project design, the facility is expected to add at least 150,000 TEU of annual handling capacity at Aktau.
