RCL orders four energy-efficient Bangkokmax container ships

Regional Container Lines (RCL) has ordered four energy-efficient Bangkokmax container ships, each with a capacity of 1,900 TEUs. The new vessels will strengthen the density and flexibility of RCL’s core regional network. They will complement the company’s larger newbuildings, which are designed to support its expanding mid-haul services. Together, the vessel investments form part of RCL’s strategy to develop a more connected shipping network. The network will remain anchored in Asia while extending into selected growth markets.
