Port of Liège and Euroports sign concession for Clermont-sous-Huy multimodal hub

The Port of Liège and Euroports Inland Terminals have signed a 30-year concession agreement for the Clermont-sous-Huy port area in Engis, signed on September 15, 2026, marking a new milestone in the development of port infrastructure and multimodality in the Liège region. The concession covers a strategically located strip of land between the quay along the Meuse and the sites operated by Euroports Inland Terminals, with the quay fully funded by the Wallonia Public Service for Mobility and Infrastructure. The transfer of quay management from Wallonia to the Port of Liège further expands the port’s portfolio, which now covers 34 port areas along the Meuse and Albert Canal spanning more than 380 hectares.
