Maersk updates intermodal fuel fees across Europe

Maersk has updated its Intermodal Fuel Fee for Poland, Benelux and the DACH region amid continued pressure on global energy and transport markets. The carrier attributed the adjustments to rising energy prices and the evolving security situation in the Middle East. Maersk noted that approximately 20% of global fuel passes through the Strait of Hormuz. The Intermodal Fuel Fee uses the EFS and IFS surcharge codes. Maersk introduced it from the Price Calculation Date of 16 March and will keep it in place until further notice.
