Maersk opens new container depot in Cameroon

Maersk has opened a new container depot in Kribi, Cameroon, as part of its continued investment in Africa’s logistics infrastructure. The 16,000-square-metre facility has a capacity of 1,500 TEU. It will support cargo flows through the deep-water Port of Kribi, which serves Cameroon and neighbouring landlocked markets. The depot provides specialised cargo handling, container storage, customs inspection and clearance services. It will also improve the availability of different container types closer to customers’ facilities.
