Kalmar plans operating model simplification

Kalmar Corporation’s Board of Directors has initiated planning for a reorganisation of its operating model, with the central structural change being the combination of its Terminal Tractors and Horizontal Transportation divisions into a single unified division. The reorganisation is designed to simplify governance, accelerate development and enhance research and development across port, terminal and distribution customer segments. The planned changes form part of Kalmar’s broader Driving Excellence initiative, supporting the achievement of its 2028 performance targets of a 15% comparable operating profit margin and 5% annual sales growth over the cycle. The restructuring is expected to generate cost savings of approximately EUR 10 million, with full run-rate achieved by the end of 2027. External segment reporting will remain unchanged, with Equipment and Services continuing as the two reported segments.
