An owner-operator running two trucks struggled to keep a driver on their payroll. The truck was parked two hours from where he lived. For the driver he hired, it turned into a multi-hour trip to and from the truck. The solution was deceptively simple: a $150-a-month reserved parking spot near the driver’s home. Truck Parking Club sells that solution as Fleet Parking, targeting 5 or more spaces for trucks, trailers or combinations depending on fleet needs.

Midwest dedicated carrier Behnke buys AG Freight

Behnke Dedicated & Logistics has acquired AG Freight for an undisclosed sum. The deal gives Michigan-based Behnke Logistics an outpost in the Southeast and a presence near South Carolina’s Inland Port Greer. Financial terms of the transaction were not provided, according to a news release issued by Calder Capital, which represented Behnke Logistics in the deal. Piedmont, South Carolina-based AG Freight offers full truckload, less-than-truckload, expedited and drayage transportation. “AG Freight gives us a real foothold in the Southeast,” said Behnke Logistics CEO Ben Behnke.

Euroseas secures charter extension for Jonathan PTrade & Logistics

Euroseas secures charter extension for Jonathan P

Euroseas has secured a time charter extension for its feeder containership Jonathan P. The 1,740 TEU vessel will remain on charter for a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 26 months, at the charterer’s option. The new contract carries a gross daily rate of US$26,000. It will begin around the end of November 2026, following the vessel’s scheduled dry-docking, and will continue directly from its current charter. Jonathan P was built in 2006.
