Export ban talk sinks diesel, boosts gasoline as White House eyes options

Even if a diesel export ban is not implemented, the talk of it in recent days on Wednesday accomplished its goal of reducing prices, at least in the futures market. Ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) on the CME commodity exchange fell Wednesday by 16. 57 cents/gallon, a decline of 3. 35%, to $4. 7764/g.

Norway grants NOK 208 million to 11 port projects

Norway has awarded NOK 208 million (US$22 million) to 11 port projects across the country. The investments aim to improve cargo flows, increase port capacity and strengthen connections between sea and land transport. The funding comes through Norway’s programme for efficient and environmentally friendly ports. The Norwegian Coastal Administration (Kystverket) manages the programme. Overall, the 11 projects represent investments of around NOK 492 million.
