OOCL expands Far East–South America network

Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) will launch its new Transpacific Latin Atlantic Service 3 (TLA3) in mid-December 2026. The weekly service will connect major Chinese export gateways with Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. The TLA3 rotation will be: Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Santos – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Navegantes – Santos – Coega – Singapore – Hong Kong – Ningbo. Calls at Coega in South Africa and Hong Kong remain subject to confirmation. The service will provide direct connections from Ningbo, Shanghai and Shekou to Santos and Navegantes in Brazil, Montevideo in Uruguay and Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Kuehne+Nagel opens new technology centre in India

Kuehne+Nagel has opened a new Tech Centre in Chennai, India, expanding its global engineering capabilities and supporting the development of its proprietary digital logistics platforms. The new centre will focus on developing and scaling technology used across the logistics group’s global operations, including solutions for managing sea and air freight shipments. By early 2027, Kuehne+Nagel expects around 250 technology experts to work at the Chennai facility. The company is working with Accenture to support the build-up of the workforce and accelerate the centre’s development. Centre to support global freight platform One of the key products supported by the Chennai team will be SALOG, Kuehne+Nagel’s core digital forwarding platform for managing sea and air freight shipments worldwide.
