APSEZ launches empty container yard at Mundra Port

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has announced the launch of a dedicated Empty Container Yard with integrated warehousing at Mundra Port, addressing the significant volume of empty container movements that characterise India’s largest container-handling port. Mundra currently handles approximately 1. 6 million TEUs of empty containers annually, reflecting its critical role in supporting India’s import-export supply chains. Mundra Port handles nearly 35% of India’s total container trade, with APSEZ commanding a 45. 5% share of the national container market as of fiscal year 2026.
