Damen unveils 1,100 TEU container feeder design

Damen Shipyards Group has unveiled a new 1,100 TEU container feeder , targeting regional and international feeder operations. The new Container Feeder (CFe) 1100 combines a fuel-efficient hull with hybrid technology and preparations for future methanol and battery propulsion. The vessel joins Damen’s existing CFe 800 and wider cargo vessel portfolio. Hybrid system comes as standard The CFe 1100 is equipped with a hybrid PTO/PTI system as standard . In PTO mode, the main engine generates electricity for onboard consumers, including reefer containers.
