TA Services acquires 2 Texas cross-border carriers, adds 133 trucks

TA Services has acquired two Texas trucking and logistics companies, adding more than 130 trucks and 550,000 square feet of warehousing to its growing U. S. -Mexico cross-border network. The Mansfield, Texas-based third-party logistics provider announced Tuesday it acquired the assets and operations of Carmen Pacheco Transportation LLC (CPT) and Interload Forwarding LLC (ILF). Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

MacGregor wins equipment order for four new CSOVs

MacGregor has secured an order to supply motion-compensated cranes and gangway systems for four new Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). The vessels are being built by Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipment for IWS Fleet, a subsidiary of Integrated Wind Solutions. The order has been booked in MacGregor’s fourth-quarter 2026 order intake. The four CSOVs are scheduled for delivery during 2029 and 2030. MacGregor equipment for Skywalker-class vessels Under the contract, MacGregor will equip each vessel with three-dimensional motion-compensated cranes and Horizon gangway systems.

Dr. Raid Al Rubaiey will assume the role of CEO of SOHAR Port and Freezone effective October 11, succeeding Emile Hoogsteden, who has held the position for more than four years. SOHAR Port and Freezone is a joint venture between the Port of Rotterdam Authority and the Sultanate of Oman’s ASYAD Group. Dr. Al Rubaiey currently serves as Deputy CEO of SOHAR Port and CEO of SOHAR Freezone, bringing extensive knowledge of the organisation and the region to the role.

LTL survey: Old Dominion, Daylight Transport take home top honors again

Old Dominion Freight Line was named the top national less-than-truckload carrier for a 17th straight year while Daylight Transport received top overall honors for a third straight year, according to a news release from Mastio & Co. The research and consulting firm annually conducts the industry’s most comprehensive survey evaluating customer value and loyalty. This year’s results were based on 1,647 telephone interviews with LTL shippers from June through September. Respondents provided approximately 5,300 evaluations, rating 155 carriers, with 24 earning ratings sufficient to make the report. Key decision makers were asked open-ended questions about carrier service offerings, competitiveness and customer retention.
