Swire Shipping introduces US$150 rate restoration to Australia and Timor-Leste

Swire Shipping will introduce a US$150 rate restoration surcharge on selected trades to Australia and Timor-Leste. The new charge will apply to cargo with a bill of lading date on or after 22 September 2026 . Rate restoration applies to Darwin and Dili The surcharge will apply to shipments from North Asia, Greater China, South-East Asia, the Indian Sub-Continent, Scandinavia, Europe, the UK, the Mediterranean and Africa . The affected destinations are Darwin, Australia, and Dili, Timor-Leste . Swire Shipping will charge US$150 for 20-foot containers across the affected trade lanes.
