Singapore and Brazil establish green and digital shipping corridor

Singapore and Brazil have signed an agreement to establish a Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC) between the two countries. The partnership will focus on maritime decarbonisation, alternative marine fuels and digital solutions for shipping and port operations. Singapore’s Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow and Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports Tomé Franca signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Corridor to support alternative marine fuels The Singapore-Brazil corridor will combine the strengths of the two countries to develop zero- and near-zero greenhouse gas emission marine fuels . Brazil has significant renewable energy resources and production capabilities.

Maersk will adjust its Transpacific sailing schedule during China’s Golden Week holiday period in October. The carrier will blank selected eastbound and westbound voyages on its TP8 and TP12 services. Maersk said alternative sailings would make inducement calls to maintain port coverage. Asia-US West Coast adjustments The eastbound TP8 voyage 640E will be blanked from Busan. Its pro forma departure was scheduled for 9 October 2026.
