SC Ports, Norfolk Southern add daily Charleston-Huntsville rail service

SC Ports and Norfolk Southern have expanded intermodal connectivity with a new daily direct rail service between Charleston and Huntsville, Alabama . The service is effective immediately and connects the Port of Charleston with markets across North Alabama and Middle Tennessee . Daily rail connection to Huntsville The new service gives importers and exporters another option for moving containerised cargo between Charleston and inland markets. SC Ports said the connection will provide greater flexibility and faster access to key markets across the US Southeast. “The intermodal service between Charleston and Huntsville is a meaningful addition for our customers,” said Micah Mallace, President and CEO of SC Ports.
