Port of Tauranga wins approval for Stella Passage development

Port of Tauranga has secured approval for its Stella Passage development under New Zealand’s Fast-track Approvals Act 2024. The decision marks an important step for the port’s long-planned expansion. It follows the draft approval announced in August. The final approval is subject to conditions and remains subject to appeal rights. Container berth to be extended by 385 metres The project includes a 385-metre extension of the Sulphur Point container berth .
