Port of Lázaro Cárdenas advances strategic road infrastructure projects

Lázaro Cárdenas has allocated a total investment of MXN 1. 729 billion under its Public Works Investment Plan for 2025 to 2030, aimed at strengthening port logistics and transforming urban mobility for the benefit of the surrounding population. Two strategic road infrastructure projects are currently underway within the city of Lázaro Cárdenas. The first project, the Construction and Expansion of the Alternate Road to the Port Area including the Lázaro Cárdenas Port Bypass and expansion of the SICARTSA Bridge, is located along the SICARTSA Bypass between Melchor Ocampo Avenue and Morelos Avenue. With an investment of MXN 214,882,436, the project runs from June 2, 2026 to September 15, 2027.
