Maersk revises Bangladesh LCL charges following fuel surcharge

Maersk has announced a revision to Container Freight Station charges for Less-than-Container Load shipments handled through private Inland Container Depots in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Inland Container Depots Association has introduced a 9. 85% fuel surcharge on the previously reviewed rates for specified container handling and transportation activities. The revised charges took effect on 21 September 2026. The adjustment follows an increase in Bangladesh’s government-set diesel price from BDT115 to BDT135 per litre, representing a rise of approximately 17.

Rhenus reports 30% growth in Spain-Latin America freight volumes

Rhenus has reported strong growth in freight volumes from Spain to Latin America, as Spanish companies increase their activity across the region. The logistics provider said its export volumes on the trade corridor increased by more than 30% year-on-year in 2026. Growth was recorded across both air and ocean freight, making Spain one of the strongest-performing European markets in the company’s network on the route. “Behind these figures lies a very clear reality: more and more Spanish companies are making Latin America part of their growth strategies,” said Monica Ruebenkoenig, Route Development Manager at Rhenus Air & Ocean.
