UK parcel carrier Evri to enter US delivery market with acquisition

Evri, the largest pure-play parcel delivery company in the United Kingdom following its merger with DHL eCommerce last year, has agreed to acquire Florida-based courier Cross Border Connect, which specializes in e-commerce delivery and returns between the U. K. and United States. Hapag-Lloyd announces North America GRI

Hapag-Lloyd will implement a General Rate Increase and General Rate Adjustment for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan and the Middle East to North America. The Hapag-Lloyd GRI will apply to containers gated in full from 1 November 2026 and will remain valid until further notice. It covers cargo transported in 20-foot and 40-foot dry, reefer and special containers, including high-cube equipment. Hapag-Lloyd GRI amounts by destination The following increases will apply: North America East Coast and Gulf Coast: US$1,000 per container North America West Coast: US$1,500 per container The West Coast adjustment is therefore US$500 per container higher than the increase applying to East Coast and Gulf Coast destinations.
