Panama Canal postpones latest draft cut with rains offering respite
The Panama Canal has postponed its latest planned neopanamax draft restriction, offering shipowners some relief after a summer of steadily tightening water constraints. The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) said on Friday it will maintain the maximum authorised draft at 14. 63 m, or 48 ft, in tropical fresh water. A reduction to 14. 48 m, or 47.
