SAAM Towage has taken delivery of a new tugboat from Turkish shipbuilder Sanmar as part of its fleet renewal programme. The company will deploy SAAM Caribe to support LNG terminals in Colombia. SAAM Towage expects demand in this segment to increase due to Colombia’s growing energy requirements and the effects of the El Niño phenomenon. SAAM Caribe delivers 72 tonnes of bollard pull SAAM Caribe belongs to Sanmar’s Boğaçay class and is based on Robert Allan’s RAmparts 2400SX-MKII design. The tug measures 24.
