Hapag-Lloyd will revise its West Africa Express (WAX) service from September 2026, introducing a direct connection between Damietta and key West African ports. The updated service will connect the Mediterranean, Türkiye and West Africa through a revised port rotation. Damietta gains direct West Africa connection Under the new setup, Hapag-Lloyd will offer direct connections from Damietta and Valencia to key West African ports and vice versa .
