NX Group and JAL launch new 747F cargo service

NX Group and Japan Airlines (JAL) will launch a new Boeing 747 freighter service connecting North America and Asia, while also adding large-freighter capacity within Asia. The weekly service will operate on a Los Angeles – Narita – Taipei – Singapore – Narita – Los Angeles circuit. The first flight is scheduled to depart Los Angeles on 3 October. The partnership targets growing demand for AI- and semiconductor-related cargo, as well as oversized and heavy shipments linked to data center development. New large-freighter capacity in Asia JAL has secured the Boeing 747 freighter through cooperation with its partners.

Great White Fleet expands Americas network

Great White Fleet, the logistics division of Chiquita, will expand its shipping network with new connections from Peru and Ecuador. From October 2026, the carrier will introduce a direct ocean connection between Peru and Philadelphia. The new link will support the transport of seasonal produce from Peru to markets in the northeastern United States. Great White Fleet will also offer shipping opportunities from Guayaquil, Ecuador, to ports in the United States and Europe. However, the carrier has not yet clarified how the new connections will be incorporated into its existing service network.

Akkon Lines upgrades Tunisia–Libya service

Akkon Lines has added a third vessel to its Tunisia Libya Service (TLS), increasing the service frequency to weekly, according to Alphaliner. The service now deploys three container vessels with an average capacity of approximately 800 TEUs. The revised rotation is: Istanbul (Ambarlı) – Izmit (Derince) – Gemlik – Aliağa – Tripoli – Khoms – Sousse – Istanbul. The loop connects four Turkish ports with Libya’s Tripoli and Khoms, as well as Sousse in Tunisia. The additional vessel enables Akkon Lines to offer more regular sailings across the Türkiye–North Africa trade.
