Nord Gas Solutions wins equipment order for two additional VLECs

Nord Gas Solutions has secured a new order from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for two additional Very Large Ethane Gas Carriers (VLECs). The company will supply cargo handling and fuel gas supply systems for the vessels. SHI will build the two VLECs at its shipyard in South Korea for an established Asian joint venture. The latest order follows an earlier contract covering five VLECs . As a result, the programme now includes seven vessels using Nord Gas Solutions technology.

Einride, EASE begin daily driverless freight runs in Ohio

Einride and EASE Logistics said Tuesday that two cabless electric trucks are now in daily freight service between EASE warehouses in Marysville, Ohio. The SAE Level 4 trucks run scheduled routes across EASE property and local public roads with no one aboard. A remote operator monitors each one off-site. The go-live built upon an earlier proof of concept project that the two companies, DriveOhio and the Indiana Department of Transportation announced in May . At the time, Peter Coratola Jr.
