Noatum Logistics doubles GCC truck fleet to over 850 vehicles

Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of AD Ports Group, has doubled its trucking fleet to more than 850 vehicles as part of its expansion across the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets. The new trucks were delivered in batches over the past six months and have already been integrated into the company’s regional operations. All newly acquired vehicles meet Euro 5 emissions standards, supporting the expansion of its transport capacity across the region. The investment strengthens Noatum Logistics’ predominantly owned and operated fleet. It also allows the company to offer cross-border road transport as an in-house service, supporting its freight forwarding, contract logistics and project logistics activities.

Scan Global Logistics to acquire Oregon-based OIA Global

Danish freight intermediary Scan Global Logistics has made the largest investment in its history, agreeing to acquire Portland, Oregon-based logistics provider OIA Global in a deal it said late Wednesday that would put the company among the top 20 freight forwarders in the world. Scan Global Logistics said the proposed acquisition will strengthen its presence in key markets and expand supply chain capabilities available to customers beyond traditional freight forwarding. Founded in 1988, OIA Global employs more than 1,200 people across more than 60 offices in over 30 countries. Its capabilities span freight forwarding, customs brokerage, contract logistics, project logistics, prime contractor management, packaging design and materials management. OIA had $780 million in revenue last year.
