New Fortress scraps former Seadrill semisub pair after FLNG plans fade

New Fortress Energy has sold two former Seadrill cylindrical semisubs for demolition, ending a four-year effort to repurpose the pair as floating LNG liquefaction facilities. VesselsValue’s latest demolition data lists the 2009-built Sevan Driller and 2012-built Sevan Brasil as sold for scrap by New Fortress this month.
