More than 100 trucks sidelined in recent enforcement actions across US, Canada

Commercial vehicle enforcement actions in Saskatchewan, Canada, and Missouri recently resulted in more than 100 trucks being placed out of service. The enforcement actions found nearly 200 inspections as authorities targeted brake defects, unsafe equipment and moving violations. In Saskatchewan, highway patrol officers placed 103 commercial vehicles out of service during Operation Air Brake, a 72-hour inspection initiative conducted Aug. 25-27, according to a news release . Officers completed 294 commercial vehicle inspections at the Beverly Weigh Scale near Swift Current, with more than one-third of inspected vehicles placed out of service, according to the Saskatchewan government.
