Maersk updates intermodal fuel fees across Southeast Europe

Maersk will update its Intermodal Fuel Fee for truck transportation across five Southeast European markets from 7 September 2026. The revised fees will apply in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro and Serbia. Their implementation will be based on the cargo delivery date, and the charges will remain in effect until further notice. Updated Maersk fuel fees Country Transport mode Intermodal Fuel Fee Croatia Truck 7% Bosnia and Herzegovina Truck 13% Slovenia Truck 7% Montenegro Truck 7% Serbia Truck 12% The Intermodal Fuel Fee will appear under the EFS and IFS surcharge codes. Fees to undergo bi-weekly reviews Maersk will review the applicable fuel fees every two weeks, replacing the previous monthly review cycle.
