Maersk sets no-load policy for Australia and New Zealand

Maersk will introduce a no-load policy for export cargo from Australia and New Zealand, requiring customers to complete their shipping documentation before vessel planning. The Maersk no-load policy will have a soft launch on 2 November 2026. Full enforcement will begin on 30 November 2026 for eligible shipments loaded from that date. How the Maersk no-load policy will work Exporters must submit complete and accurate Shipping Instructions by the published deadline. They must then review the Verify Copy, or draft bill of lading, and promptly request any necessary amendments.
