Maersk restricts SOC exports from Hungary to Far East Asia

Maersk has stopped accepting bookings that combine Shipper Owned Containers (SOC) with its inland services from Hungary to Far East Asia. The restriction takes effect immediately and covers destinations within the E2/E scope. Maersk introduced the measure because of limited inland network capacity. The carrier also needs to prioritise the repositioning of its own equipment. Affected inland services The restriction applies to all export inland products originating in Hungary, including: Rail and RCO combinations CY Budapest/Fenyeslitke Container Yard solutions Store Door solutions Ocean-only services remain available Customers can continue arranging their own transport to the relevant seaport.
