Maersk raises intermodal fuel fees across Central Europe

Maersk has announced updated Intermodal Fuel Fee levels for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. The new percentages will apply from 14 September to 28 September 2026 . The carrier attributed the adjustments to higher global energy prices and fuel availability pressures linked to the security situation in the Middle East. Fuel fees reach 10% across DACH region In Germany, Austria and Switzerland , Maersk will apply a 10% fee on truck transportation . Barge and BCO movements will also face a 10% fee , while the rate for RCO will be 5% .
