Maersk extends late payment window in Djibouti and Ethiopia
Maersk has extended the period before its Late Payment Fee applies to customers in Djibouti and Ethiopia. Customers will now have 15 calendar days after an invoice’s due date to settle outstanding payments, compared with seven days previously. The fee remains unchanged at US$40 per shipment. It will apply when an invoice remains unpaid after the extended 15-day period. Maersk said the adjustment recognises that customers may require additional time to complete clearance and payment procedures.
