Latvia’s largest ports launch unified digital platform

Latvia’s largest ports have completed a joint digitisation project that created a unified digital platform for Riga, Ventspils and Liepāja. The platform aims to streamline port operations, improve customer service and accelerate the exchange of information. It will also reduce manual data entry and strengthen cooperation across Latvia’s maritime sector. The Freeport of Riga Authority implemented the project with the Freeport of Ventspils Authority, Liepāja Special Economic Zone Authority and several government agencies. The European Union’s Recovery Fund supported the project, which the partners described as the most ambitious port digitisation initiative in Latvia’s history.
