Panama Canal appoints Miguel Lorenzo as Deputy Administrator

The Panama Canal Board of Directors has appointed Miguel Antonio Lorenzo Fábrega as Deputy Administrator of the Panama Canal. Lorenzo will serve alongside Administrator Ilya Espino de Marotta as part of the waterway’s senior leadership team. Nearly three decades at the Panama Canal Lorenzo brings 28 years of experience at the Panama Canal and has held several engineering and management positions. He began his career as a structural engineer before becoming Executive Manager of Engineering. He later served as Deputy Manager for the Design of the Third Set of Locks and as Vice President for Engineering and Services.
