Hapag-Lloyd updates India cargo requirements under SCMTR

Hapag-Lloyd has issued an update on India’s Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations (SCMTR) . According to the carrier, all Indian ports are now operating under the SCMTR framework. The system covers cargo movements between Indian gateway ports and foreign ports. It includes the Sea Arrival Manifest (SAM) for imports and the Sea Departure Manifest (SDM) for exports. Customers urged to review SCMTR requirements Hapag-Lloyd has asked customers and other trade partners to use the extended transition period to prepare for the requirements.
