Hapag-Lloyd to acquire 25% stake in APM Terminals Maasvlakte II

Hapag-Lloyd has signed an agreement with APM Terminals to acquire a 25% stake in APM Terminals Maasvlakte II in Rotterdam. The investment will give Hapag-Lloyd long-term access to automated terminal handling capacity at one of the key European hubs for the Gemini Cooperation. APM Terminals will retain operational control of the terminal. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Hapag-Lloyd strengthens Rotterdam terminal presence The investment will be made through Hapag-Lloyd’s Terminals and Infrastructure division, Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) .
