Hapag-Lloyd introduces Street Turn Charge in Nigeria

Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a new Street Turn Charge (STC) in Nigeria from 1 October 2026. The charge will apply to containers moved under street turn arrangements in the country. A street turn allows an import container to be directly reused for a local export shipment under merchant haulage bookings. Charges vary by container type For a 20-foot dry container , the new charge will be NGN 15,000 per container . The rate for a 40-foot dry container will be NGN 20,000 .
