Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk return four Gemini services to Red Sea route

Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk will reroute four Gemini Cooperation services through the Red Sea and Suez Canal following an assessment of the region’s security situation. The NE4, SE1, SE2 and IEX services will transition from the Cape of Good Hope route to the shorter Red Sea passage. According to Hapag-Lloyd, the Red Sea route provides a more efficient connection and shorter transport options for cargo moving between Asia and Europe.
