PD Ports introduces vision rapid response vessel

PD Ports has strengthened its Marine operations with the introduction of New Vision, a versatile rapid response vessel designed to support a range of operational and environmental activities across the Ports of Tees and Hartlepool. The vessel was originally acquired as an open deck boat without a wheelhouse and subsequently adapted to the specific requirements of the Marine and Engineering team in collaboration with a naval architect. Measuring 8 metres in length and weighing 3. 4 tonnes, New Vision is capable of reaching 36 knots, providing rapid response capability for environmental incidents and operational demands on the water. The vessel carries Category 4 certification, allowing operations up to 20 miles from the coast in daylight hours, representing significant operational reach for a vessel of its size.
