Hapag-Lloyd has cut contracted capacity allocations under its Quality Freight Product (QFP) service by as much as 40%, according to one forwarder, raising questions over the flexibility of the carrier’s guaranteed-capacity offering amid the disruption in Asia. China’s Jiangyin and Nanjing have become the latest Yangtze River ports to demonstrate ocean-going ambitions.
