Davie wins Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker contract

Davie Shipbuilding has secured a fixed-price contract from the Government of Canada to build six Program Icebreakers for the Canadian Coast Guard. The $11. 3 billion contract forms part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy. Davie announced the agreement during a ceremony in Lévis, Québec. Construction of the first icebreaker will begin in 2027.
