CMA CGM updates Panama Canal surcharge on Far East trades

CMA CGM has announced an update to its Panama Canal Transit Surcharge for cargo moving from the Far East to several markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. The updated surcharge will apply from 26 August 2026 . For US territories and Colombia, the effective date will be 6 September 2026 . Surcharge set at US$250 per TEU CMA CGM will apply a Panama Canal Transit Surcharge of US$250 per TEU . The charge applies to all cargo originating in the Far East and moving via the Panama Canal.
