CMA CGM announces rate restoration from West Mediterranean to US
CMA CGM will introduce a Rate Restoration Initiative (RRI) for cargo moving from the West Mediterranean to the United States. The new rates will take effect on 15 September 2026 . The RRI will apply to tariff or service contract rates within the specified trade scope. RRI reaches US$500 for larger containers The initiative covers shipments from West Mediterranean ports. The origin scope includes Italy, France and Morocco , as well as the Spanish Mediterranean ports of Valencia, Barcelona and Algeciras.
