CMA CGM and MSC return Europe–Australia service to Suez

CMA CGM and MSC have resumed routing their joint North Europe–Australasia service through the Suez Canal in both directions, according to DynaLiners. The service is marketed as Newmo by CMA CGM and Australia Express by MSC. The return to the shorter Suez routing will allow the carriers to reduce the number of vessels deployed on the service from 18 to 16. The revised fleet will comprise ships with an average capacity of approximately 9,000 TEUs. Port coverage will remain unchanged.
