Bull bars fall out of favour in US but remain necessary in Australia

Front-mounted bull bars have largely disappeared from American cars as front vehicle sensors and stricter pedestrian-safety standards push them out of new models. An MSN article says those higher safety requirements and sensor systems have mostly removed bull-bar options from vehicles sold in the United States. By contrast, in Australia — often described as 'kangaroo country' — bull bars remain a factory option and are still regarded as a necessity to cope with wildlife on the roads.
